Remote control of the largest Czech telescope – 2 metres in diameter and weighing 80 tonnes – situated in the Astronomical Institute at Ondřejov near Prague

You will also learn which one is “your” star!

 

There are no fixed times. Events will start as people arrive throughout the night.

 

 

 

The observatory will come to town!

Špilberk.

 

You will be able to watch the sky from the ramparts of the Špilberk fortress. In clear weather the telescopes of the temporary observatory will be focused on the planets of the solar system. If it is overcast the visitors will admire the dominant features of the City of Brno!
